Karunanidhi Statue  

Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, MK Stalin, N Chandrababu Naidu, Pinarayi Vijayan, Narayanaswamy spoke. The tone was decidedly, and understandably, anti-Modi. But the choice of words of Stalin — 'sadist', 'Nazist', 'fascist' — used on the Prime Minister did lead to a few arched eyebrows. It is not Stalin's style to use terms that lead to further polarisation among the opposing party folks. The unveiling of the statue will be held on Sunday at 5pm, and the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi will unveil the statue and address the gathering at the venue.

Former Tamil Nadu chief minister, M Karunanidhi's statue will be unveiled in the party's headquarters adjacent to DMK founder CN Annadurai's statue in Chennai.
