Jds Congress Seat Sharing  

BJP has fielded Sadananda Gowda, sitting MP from Bengaluru North. It is said that JDS does not have a strong candidate to field against Sadananda Gowda and that is why the party has given up Bengaluru North seat to the Congress.
 

Former district in-charge minister Manju was a ticket aspirant from the Congress for Hassan seat. But as per the seat-sharing agreement, Prajwal Revanna of the JD(S) will contest from the constituency now. This has angered Manju, who is likely to join BJP to contest against Prajwal
 

JDS demanded 12 seats, but after much haggling, the party managed to bag 8 seats. The seat-sharing talks between the Congress and the JDS finally comes to an end.

Even though Congress has left the Mandya seat for the Janata Dal (Secular), Congress workers there are not ready to support the JD(S). Instead, they are favouring Ambareesh's wife Sumalatha's candidature.

JD(S) has finally settled for 10 seats when it had earlier asked for 12. Congress president Rahul Gandhi and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda discussed seat-sharing in Karnataka for the upcoming Lok Sabha.
