Doctor Dies  

 

Even as the medical staff in India put up a brave face at the frontline of India’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic, in an unfortunate incident a doctor at a mohalla or community clinic in Maujpur, Northeast Delhi has tested positive for covid-19. Health officials have confirmed that his wife and daughter too have been infected with coronavirus. The news of one of India’s unsung heroes testing positive in these pressing times has shocked the country, with several netizens making a heartfelt appeal to treat medical professionals with love and respect. One such voice is that of India’s 8-year-old climate change activist Licypriya Kangujam. She took to social media to express her grief. Here’s what she had to say.
