Martin Freeman, who played CIA Agent Everett Ross in the Chadwick Boseman-fronted 2018 film, said he is not sure when the much-anticipated sequel will get into production.

The long-anticipated follow-up to the Michael Jordan-Bugs Bunny hit will be directed by Terence Nance. "Black Panther" helmer Ryan Coogler is attached to produce.

The film, about the story of an unlikely friendship between a Black musician and his white driver, upstaged front-runners Alfonso Cuaron's Roma, Black Panther, The Favourite and BlacKkKlansman to bag Best Picture Oscar.

The nominees for the 91st annual Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills, California.
