Speaker of Karnataka Assembly Ramesh Kumar has resigned in the immediacy of the new chief minister BS Yediyurappa proving his majority and the financial bill passed. He had earlier hit the headlines for taking the harsh step of disqualifying all the rebel MLAs of the Congress-JD(S) coalition for the end of the term, till May 2023.

Bengaluru: Karnataka assembly was adjourned a third time on July 23 in the last one week. Amid ruckus in the House, Speaker Ramesh Kumar adjourned the House and said the government has to prove its majority by 6 pm on July 23.
