S Nirmala, a young girl from Andhra Pradesh bravely fought for her right to education. She received help from district administration and topped in the first-year intermediate board examinations in the state.

Mokshada is a resident of Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh. She earned a degree in engineering from Galgotias University. She started preparing for the SSC CGL exams, however, under unfortunate circumstances, her father met with an accident. That year, she could not clear the exams successfully, but in 2019, Mokshada secured 211^th rank in SSC CGL.

Parineeti Chopra is a Bollywood actor. She secured All-India first rank in the competitive SSC examination. In 2011, she made her Bollywood debut with ‘Ladies vs Ricky Behl’. In 2017, Parineeti sang her first song ‘Maana Ki Hum Yaar Nahin’ in her film ‘Meri Pyari Bindu’.

Almost 80 successful SSC candidates have fallen ill while on hunger strike, asking for jobs promised to them. Pregnant protesters have reportedly suffered miscarriages. But while mediapersons celebrated pre-Holi bash at the venue of the protest, the Kolkata Press Club, police have threatened the young protesters with forcible eviction.
