More than 5,000 Indian nationals are trapped in Cambodia lured by fake job offers. The Indian embassy in Cambodia and local authorities are working to rescue and repatriate the individuals who were forced to perform cyber fraud. According to MEA, around 250 Indians have been rescued. 

Aboard an Air India Express flight from Delhi to Pune, a middle-aged woman suffered a cardiac arrest mid-air. Dr Ashok Kumar Badamali, a senior consultant in cardiac anesthesia, led a remarkable rescue effort with the assistance of cabin crew members and fellow passengers. 

A horrifying incident resulted in the death of 10 people after a bus caught fire in Ghaziabad, UP after colliding with an 11,000-volt wire. Many were rescued and hospitalised in the nearby hospital. 

Forest department officials in Maharashtra's Dhule district conducted a daring rescue operation to save a leopard trapped in a metal pot. The incident, which unfolded in Shivara village of Sakri taluka, gained widespread attention after a video capturing the rescue efforts went viral on social media.

It has well-trained professionals and an advanced hospital and research centre for the welfare of the animals. Vantara has collaborated with many national and international organisations to contribute towards wildlife conservation worldwide. 

Fishermen in Tamil Nadu inadvertently caught eight Olive Ridley turtles in their fishing nets and chose to release them back into the wild. This act of kindness has garnered praise and admiration from people across various platforms. The incident took place in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, where the fishermen discovered the turtles entangled in their fishing nets. Rather than disregarding the endangered turtles or exploiting them for profit, the fishermen opted to rescue and release them back into the waters.

During the lockdown, Sonal Gupta, a resident of Kota, established an NGO to provide food and shelter to street animals. She has garnered support from numerous animal lovers who actively contribute to and assist her NGO.

Sushma Singh, a resident of Patiala, founded an NGO named Chaupaiyaan Jeev Raksha Foundation to provide care to the homeless animals. She considers it her responsibility to provide food and medical treatment for them. Apart from running an animal shelter home, she also feeds 300 strays every day.

At an age, when Bihar’s Hariom Narayan should be having fun with his friends at college, he prefers to devote his entire time to the rescue of snakes. He is only 19 but has rescued more than 4000 snakes so far. He has been bitten by snakes multiple times, but that does not deter his will to carry out his responsibilities. He is famously called as the Snake Man of Bihar.

Uttar Pradesh’s Mukesh Dixit took on the responsibility of running the animal shelter in the year 2015. He created social media pages for raising funds for the Gaushala. Presently, he takes care of 198 animals in his ‘Anaath Gau Seva Ashram.’

Harsimran Kaur, a dedicated animal advocate, has been tirelessly serving animals for many years. Her commitment is so strong that she went to the extent of selling her own house. She feels contented when dogs approach her, wagging their tails. In her years of work, she has faced resistance and challenges, but she never got discouraged to continue her work.

Prachi is only 18 years old and is involved in snake rescue operations. She educates people about snake protection in Lucknow Zoo.
