The 'Yakshagana' stage in Karnataka is witnessing a curious spectacle with a Muslim woman artiste creating waves with her performances. Arshiya, the artiste from Vittal in Dakshina Kannada district, is the first woman from the Muslim community to venture into the popular traditional theatre art form. Coronavirus Outbreak: India's Sports Minister Expects 2020 Tokyo Olympics To Go Ahead As Scheduled
Kiren Rijiju, the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports on Thursday brushed aside the threat of coronavirus and said India would participate in 2020 Tokyo Olympics in full flow. "Virus China mein hai, Tokyo mein Nahi (the virus is in China not Tokyo)," Rijiju said in response to questions about the Games on the sidelines of a workshop to sensitize Indian athletes about Japanese etiquette and culture. Rijiju said the current situation demands that nations come together to fight the crisis. "We have to fight every situation together. I expect Tokyo Olympics to start July 24 on time and go ahead smoothly," he said.

When Indira Gandhi Described Veer Savarkar As A 'Remarkable Son Of India'
In 2019, a controversy erupted after Congress party vehemently opposed Conferring India’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna, to one of India’s greatest heroes Veer Savarkar. It was during that time a letter written by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi referring Veer Savarkar as a ‘remarkable son of India’ surfaced on social media. In a letter dated May 30, 1980, Indira Gandhi wrote to Pandit Bakhle, then secretary of Swatantrayaveer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak, expressing her reverence for one of India’s greatest freedom fighters Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
