The UAE and Oman were recently hit by a devastating storm, resulting in a massive flood that submerged the roads and buildings across the countries. The heavy rainfall of this capacity seems unnatural for desert countries like these. Many believe that it might be caused by cloud seeding while experts consider it a warning sign of climate change. 

Ex-Bigg Boss contestant and singer Rahul Vaidya recently shared the major flooding after the heavy rains in Dubai. He shared some videos and photos on Instagram of the aftermath with knee-deep waters and cars submerged in muddy water. 

The High-Level Committee (HLC), chaired by the Union Minister for Home Affairs Shri Amit Shah, met in New Delhi today to consider additional central assistance to seven states, which were affected by floods/ landslides/cloudburst during southwest monsoon 2019. High-Level Committee approved additional central assistance of Rs. 5908.56 crore to seven States from National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF)

As many as 900 people have been tested positive for dengue in Bihar. This comes just days after the state witnessed torrential rains and floods. However, the Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar denied the outbreak of vector-borne disease in Patna due to the monsoon season.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on October 2 issued an orange alert for Patna, Vaishali, Begusarai, and Khagaria districts for October 3 and 4, as these areas are expected to receive heavy rainfall.

19 teams of the National Disaster Response Force have been deployed in Bihar due to floods following torrential rains. NDRF teams are carrying out rescue and evacuation operations along with other agencies in the flood-affected areas. The death toll in Bihar has risen to 29 owing to rain related incidents in the state. The state government has requested the Indian Air Force for two helicopters to aid in rescue operations. 

 Sabarimala had turned into a battlefield last year after the Supreme Court's verdict allowing women to enter the shrine. However, women now say that they will wait till they turn 50 to enter the shrine. The CBI has now accused senior Congress leader and former finance minister P Chidambaram of destroying evidence of his meeting with Indrani Mukerjea, who has turned approver in the INX Media case. Heavy rains in Pune for the past two days have killed 21 people in the city. The city recorded 106 millimetres of rainfall on Thursday (September 26).
