Congress should initiate a process to elect a fulltime leader

Congress Working Committee has decided that Sonia Gandhi should continue as the president of the Congress party  

In the Congress Working Committee meet, reports stated that senior leader Ahmed Patel proposed the name of Rahul Gandhi as the successor to his mother 
 

During a talk on the amended law at an event organised by the Virat Hindustan Sangam, Dr. Swamy said that on November 27 1947, the Congress Working Committee said that the Congress is bound to afford protection to all non-Muslims from Pakistan who have crossed the border and come to India and may do so to save their lives in future. They would be protected and given full citizenship.

This comes close on the heels of Rahul Gandhi’s proposal to resign as party chief, taking responsibility for the 2019 poll debacle, which was summarily not just rejected by the Congress Working Committee (CWC), but he was also persuaded to lead from the helm by sister Priyanka Vadra

Interestingly Mamata's offer was rejected by the party of which she herself is the supremo. This almost looks similar to the Congress working committee earlier in the day where media reports suggest Rahul Gandhi offered to resign as party president which was rejected by his own party

Congress Working Committee member Oommen Chandy claimed that the CPM is making false statements about the UDF by linking the party with the BJP and countered allegations by stating that it is the Communist Party which has been supporting the BJP.

 

"Wherever there is a corruption, it leads to 10 Janpath. In India, 10 Janpath is the permanent address of corruption. Every corruption act leads to the Gandhi family," BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra said.
