TRS's low-spirited leader Konda Surekha has made a scathing attack against Telangana's Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, after she was denied the party ticket for the upcoming Assembly election. She said that they have made a huge mistake. "Even after I had written an open letter to them, they have not spoken to me. Am I worse than the 105 candidates announced by the party? KCR is discouraging the backward classes in politics," the anguished leader said.

Surekha has claimed that her closeness to the caretaker minister, Harish Rao is the alleged reason behind the step-motherly treatment meted out to her. She further said, "Very soon, I will announce my action plan. I have been invited into 15 parties including the Congress and the BJP. Along with me, my husband or my daughter would also contest in the upcoming election."

Surekha also asserted that Harish Rao is planning to resign from politics because of the lack of freedom. While speaking to the media, Surekha's husband Konda Murali said that other candidates who have jumped ship were given tickets. He further added that his family's ongoing rivalry with TRS leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao is another reason why they have been neglected. However, he is confident of gaining as many as a lakh of votes in the forthcoming election.
