New Delhi:  Alibaba partner and Indian e-commerce firm Paytm Mall will be expanding its business and hence will hire 300 people in the coming months. 

As e-commerce is emerging profusely in India, people are preferring online to offline (O2O) platforms for shopping. Due to the emergence, the company saw 200 per cent growth in the last six month and hence, the company wants to expand and capture the growing market demands. 

"We are observing strong traction for O2O with the business. To support this growth, we have re-aligned some of our teams and have added 200 more people for the business,” said Srinivas Mothey, Paytm Mall SVP. 

He also said, "We further plan to add an additional workforce of 300 people across business, technology and product in the next few months."  

With O2O, Paytm Mall is ensuring availability of a wide range of products and offers across online and offline stores, it said.
