Bengaluru: In a grim reminder to Akbaruddin Owaisi’s call to finish off Hindus if the police force is withdrawn for 15 minutes, made way back in 2012, AIMIM's Waris Pathan has made a similar threat at a speech in Gulbarga, Karnataka.

While addressing a gathering, he said, “We have taken Azadi and that which is not given, must be snatched. They are saying that we have sent our sisters ahead (Shaheen bagh). Only our tigresses have come out and you are sweating. Just understand if all of us come together then what will happen? We are 15 crores, but we are tough on the 100 crores, remember that."

Akbaruddin Owaisi, as reported, made that shocking statement in 2012. But he reiterated the same threat without any remorse in July 2019 in an election rally.

He had said, "No person from RSS can even touch our hair and remember, remember, the world tries to scare the person who gets scared. And world fears the person who knows how to instill fear why do they hate Akbaruddin Owaisi? Why? A single blow of a blacksmith is equal to a hundred blows of a goldsmith. They (RSS) haven't yet recovered from the '15 minute' blow."

The rank objection to the CAA comes in the wake of a rumour that CAA snatches away the citizenship of India Muslims. But the CAA, instead of snatching away rights, only bestows it to the persecuted non-Muslims of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan for around 32000 people who have been staying in India hitherto December 31, 2014.

But protests over the law, passed by both houses of Indian Parliament last year and the President giving his assent, continue across the nation because the protesters feel there is discrimination based on religions.

Presently, the top court is hearing the case.
