Ramanathapuram: Three more Indian fishing trawlers were released by the Sri Lankan Navy on Tuesday. They were held for poaching in their territorial waters. The fishing trawlers were handed over to the Indian Navy with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard.

The trawlers moored at the jetty of Trincomalee in Sri Lanka were repaired by a dedicated team of Indian engineers who arrived at the spot a couple of days ago. A Sri Lanka Coast Guard ship escorted the repaired Indian trawlers to the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) north of the island in the evening and handed them over to the Indian Coast Guard ship Rani Durgawathi.
