The Minister of External Affairs informed further that the abducted Indian has been rescued. A sinister gang of Pakistanis involved in human and organ trafficking seems to be active in Malaysia
Police have rescued an Indian kidnapped in Malaysia and arrested three Pakistani nationals for their suspected involvement in the crime, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said on Sunday.
The Indian national has been identified as Sanjeev from Madhya Pradesh. The Royal Malaysian Police rescued him on Sunday from a lodging house in Tampoi.
Sanjeev, a resident of Jajanpur village in Kaithal district, contacted some agents from Punjab to fulfil his desire to go and find a job and settle abroad. He landed in trouble as this was a racket run by Pakistani nationals who trapped the youth who went illegally in search of employment.
The Pakistanis first took Sanjeev to Bangkok and then to Malaysia via road. Some Pakistani agents took him hostage and threatened to sell his kidney and other body parts in the event of non-payment of the ransom demanded.
On the complaint of the family, the district police filed a lawsuit and urged the Indian Embassy located in Malaysia to rescue the victim.
The Malaysian police raided the place after receiving the report lodged by the bound victim’s family in India.
The abductors had demanded a ransom of Rs. 25 lakhs from his family for his release.
The kidnappers threatened to kill him, the family stated in the report. However, the victim did not suffer any serious injury but was sent to the hospital for a medical examination.
“Abducted Sanjeev has been rescued. The Royal Malaysian Police has arrested three Pakistani abductors in the case. Indian ambassador Mridul (Kumar) and his team deserve praise,” Swaraj tweeted.

Indian High Commission was in constant touch with police during the operation. Heartiest congratulations to the police authorities for speedy action”.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also expressed his happiness over the rescue of Sanjeev and thanked the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian High Commission in Malaysia and the Royal Malaysian Police for their speedy action.
“Under the leadership of @SushmaSwaraj, safety & security of Indians living abroad is the topmost priority of our govt,” he said on Twitter.
