The rapper addressed his controversial remarks in a recent radio interview and apologised for it too. During an interview with TMZ, West said, "When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years? That sounds like a choice." He also came under fire for tweeting praises for the American President saying that “the mob” of people “can’t make me not love him.”
Rapper Kanye West's recent interview with 107.5 WGCI Chicago is turning to be another crowd-puller. The 41-year-old musician has been in the news lately more for his controversial comments and Tweets rather than for his the fashion line or music.
West addressed his 'slavery is a choice' comment and his pro-Trump statements. He said, "I don't know if I properly apologised for how that slave comment made people feel, so I want to take this moment right now to say that I'm sorry for hurting, I'm sorry for the one-two effect of the MAGA hat into the slave comment." West was previously also criticised for wearing the MAGA- Make America Great Again cap that is favoured by Trump supporters.
Recently, he attended the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show and was visibly shaken when asked by Kimmel why he feels Trump cares about black people. He also spoke about that incident saying, "I feel that he cares about the way black people feel about him, and he would like for black people to like him like they did when he was cool in the rap songs and all this. He will do the things that are necessary to make that happen because he's got an ego like all the rest of us," adding, "He wants to be the greatest president, and he knows that he can't be the greatest president without the acceptance of the black community. So, it's something he's going to work towards, but we're gonna have to speak to him."
