The news is Andhra Pradesh chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy wants four capitals for the state. If one were to go by the words of Rajya Sabha member TG Venkatesh (BJP), Jagan has put forth a plan to develop capitals in four different regions in a bid to ensure there is all-round development.

Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh has plans of shelving former CM Chandrababu Naidu’s plan of making Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. His argument is that instead of one place as the capital, why can’t there be four places as capitals so that monopoly of one place will be stymied.
