Hyderabad: Top BJP leaders including Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, national president Amit Shah and Union minister Nitin Gadkari will campaign in the poll-bound Telangana on Sunday.

This will be the third time in a week that Shah will be addressing political rallies in the state. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing a rally in Hyderabad. The BJP is contesting all 119 Assembly seats on its own in the December 7 elections.

Adityanath is scheduled to speak at four election rallies including two at Greater Hyderabad. He will be addressing rallies in Tandur, Sangareddy, Boduppal and Goshamahal. BJP MLA Raja Singh is the sitting MLA from Goshamahal and he is seeking re-election.

Shah will be addressing rallies in Narayanpet, Amangal and Kamareddy. He is also scheduled to participate in a road show which will take place on Sunday evening at Greater Hyderabad.

Prior to this, a road show was conducted at Musheerabad Shah where he was accompanied by BJP's Telangana unit President K Laxman and MP Bandaru Dattareya. Laxman is contesting from Musheerabad and Secunderanbad.   

While addressing a rally in Adilabad town, Shah said that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government had a budget surplus, however, still led the state had debts of Rs 2.5lakh crore.

He also accused Telangana caretaker chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) of not celebrating Telangana Liberation Day out of fear of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).

"If voted to power, BJP will celebrate the day on a grand scale,” Shah assured the people.
