Dubai: After the thrilling tie between India and Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2018, paceman Bhuvneshwar Kumar brought back the smiles on a youngster’s face after he was captured crying at the ground following the heartbreak for the MS Dhoni-led side.

Afghanistan surprised India by tying the Super Four contest at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. Ravindra Jadeja’s wicket in the final over gave Afghans a reason to celebrate as the scores were level at 252. India were bowled out with one ball to spare. Jadeja was dismissed caught when the team required two runs from two balls.

India’s failure to close out the game hurt the fans and one particular kid at the venue was inconsolable. He kept on crying after the result. Even his father could not stop his tears. But, a phone call from Bhuvneshwar brought joy to the kid.

It was the boy's father who took to Twitter to share the Indian bowler’s nice gesture.

“He is happy now and looking forward to watching the finals…Really kind of @BhuviOfficial to call and cheer him up.”, read Amanpreet Singh’s (his father) post.

Also spotted veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, wrote a tweet meant for the kid, "Koi na putt Rona Nahi hai final aapa jittange (don’t cry, India will win the final)."

It didn't stop just at that but Afghanistan’s star cricketers Mohammad Shahzad and Rashid Khan also clicked selfies with the kid to give him a moment worth cherishing all his life.

Meanwhile, in the final on Friday, India will face Bangladesh, who knocked out favourites Pakistan on Wednesday.
