New Delhi: Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has revealed his choice of 15 players who should represent India at the 2019 World Cup in England.

Harbhajan has made a couple of surprise inclusions in his squad. However, he has excluded young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. Also he has picked all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as a possibility for the ICC showpiece event starting on May 30.

The combination of batsmen and the bowling attack includes the names of players who helped India script historic wins both in Australia and New Zealand ODI series.

Not only them, Harbhajan has gone further to include Umesh Yadav in the squad for being remarkable in the Ranji trophy. Umesh took 24 wickets for his side Vidarbha, in the four matches he played this season to win the title for the second time.

According to Harbhajan, all-rounder Vijay Shankar, who had put up an impressive show against Australia and New Zealand in limited overs, should get a go for the World Cup.

Although Vijay went wicketless in the four ODIs he played Down Under, he had scored 45 in the third one-day against New Zealand and while batting at No 3, he had scored 89 in three innings in the T20I series against New Zealand.

"If you remember, during the 2017 Champions Trophy, the weather in the UK was hot and humid. So, if conditions are same, Jadeja could still be used as a package, if the opposition team has five to six right-handers in their line-up. Play him as No 6 with Hardik Pandya as No 7. Also, he is still your best fielder," Harbhajan had told PTI during an interview.
