Telangana: Prime Minister Narendra launched a scathing attack on Telangana chief minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao during his election rally at Nizamabad in Telangana.

PM Modi said that both Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Congress are two sides of the same coin as they both believe in dynastic politics. He said that both these parties are playing “friendly match” in Telangana polls.

Criticising KCR, the Prime Minister said that the founder of TRS has betrayed the state. Modi pointed out how KCR said that he will transform Nizamabad into London, but, in reality, the condition of the region is very poor as there is no development.

“The Telangana government did nothing in 4.5 years. KCR thinks he can win the election without working,” added Modi.

Modi also said, “People of Telangana do not have access to drinking water. KCR said that if I’m not able to provide the water to every household I will not come to seek votes.”

“I have seen poverty”, said the Prime Minister while addressing the rally, “I will ensure free gas connections to all poor as inhaling the chulha’s smoke is equal to smoking 400 cigarettes”.

Talking about how different schemes have helped people in Telangana, Modi said that while five lakh families have been provided with free gas connections under the Ujjawala Scheme, three lakh families have been benefited by the health scheme Ayushmaan Bharat Yojana.

“Those who believe in ‘vikas’ must choose the BJP,” he added.

Telangana will go for polls on December 7. Congress president Rahul Gandhi will campaign in Telangana on Wednesday with Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.
