Karan Johar's outfits from last week cost more than your rent for the whole year

Mumbai/New Delhi: Filmmaker Karan Johar is the unsung fashionista of Bollywood, we have always maintained. While you may not see him on the best-dressed lists in the country, his Instagram account is his fashion portfolio where he smizes and pouts in the coolest designer duds. 

Needless to say, his OOTDs, sometimes with the help of stylist Nikita Jaisinghani, have won many fans. However, the price of beauty is quite heavy as we found out when we calculated the cost of Johar's outfits worn last week. For the past few days, KJo has been spotted rocking his go-to jeans and jackets avatar, take a dekko.

Layered button-up jacket, Army of Me €  420 (approx Rs 34,574)   

The Bombay Velvet star kickstarted the week with a distressed jacket and ripped denim as he attended designer Kunal Rawal's showcase at the Lakme Fashion Week. The jacket by Swedish brand Army of Me is probably the cheapest on this list but very unique since you can visit the brand's only store in Sweden by appointment only. 

Slogan Blazer Jacket, Yohji Yamamoto- $3,768 (approx Rs 2,67,509)

Avant-garde Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto's designs are not for the people who like to play safe with their outfits. Which is why Karan Johar stepped out in an impeccably tailored blazer costing more than your year's rent. Can you feel the burn?

Yellow Tent Jacket, Craig Green- $1770 (approx 1,25,767)

A shopping haul during Karan's London trips we suspect, this jacket is by British designer Craig Green, who is touted as UK's most innovative menswear designer for his androgynous, utilitarian pieces. The filmmaker rocked this jacket to announce the second season of his radio show, Calling Karan. 

Hooded Love Windbreaker, Maison Valentino - $2,260 (approx Rs1,60,584)

A jacket from the haute couture house of Valentino, Karan wore this jacket to a recent store launch. We can't help but feel that this 'lewk' is all about love for everyone. What say?

Colourblocked Oversized track Jacket, Balenciaga- Rs 74,577
