The situation in Kashmir continues to remain tense since the Pulwama attack on February 14 in which at least 40 CRPF soldiers were killed.

On February 27, at least two Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces in Memander area of Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The development comes just a day after the IAF avenged the deaths of 40 CRPF jawans in Pulwama terror attack by carrying out air strike in terror facility in Balakot in Pakistan. The ‘non-military pre-emptive air strike’ was done on three camps of the terrorist organisation, killing nearly 300 militants.
