Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who is trending on social media because of his upcoming movie 2.0, came out of his Poes Garden residence in Chennai and wished fans Happy Diwali.

He expressed gratitude to his fans. During the weekend, he was seen at the launch of 2.0 trailer where he spoke about the movie and was confident about its success.  He said, "Take my word, this film is going to be a super-duper hit."
 
The film is India's most expensive project till date with the budget of Rs 600 crore. Produced under the banner of Lyca Productions, the film also stars Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in pivotal roles. It is scheduled to release on November 29 in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu versions and will be released in 3D formats.

Post that, he will be featured in Karthik Subbaraj's Petta, which is shot in Dehradun, Chennai and Lucknow. It stars the ensemble star cast of Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran Bagga, Bobby Simha, Megha Akash, Sanath Reddy and Nawazuddin Siddiqi.
