Mumbai: Amidst the hordes of #MeToo allegations levelled against filmmaker Sajid Khan, his close acquaintance actor-singer, Farhan Akhtar is being slammed for claiming he was unaware of Khan's behaviour.

Akhtar took to Twitter to support the movement saying, "I cannot adequately stress how shocked, disappointed and heartbroken I am to read the stories about Sajid’s behaviour. I don’t know how but he will have to find a way to atone for his alleged actions."

However, actor Amrita Rao and many netizens voiced doubts whether Sajid's coterie was truly unaware of this. Rao even shared her own experience saying, "It was fairly well known that @SimplySajidK is a creep and is completely inappropriate as far as his conduct with women goes. I was warned to stay away from him if I ever came across him." Akhtar has termed them 'conspiracy theories'.

Now, alleged girlfriend Shibani Dandekar has jumped to his defence by confirming his ignorance in a slew of Tweets. Take a look:

It all started when a survivor shared her #MeToo story about Sajid Khan from almost a decade ago saying, "He forced his tongue down my throat. I pushed him away and ran out. I cried all the way on the train from Vile Parle to VT. I got back to my office and wrote his interview because that was my job."

However, this is not the only allegation against the director. Actor Saloni Chopra also spoke up and listed Khan along with Zain Durrani and Vikas Bahl in her account.

Chopra revealed graphic details about Sajid asking her inappropriate questions and sexual harassment in a blog. She wrote, "I’m sure he’s done this to so many other girls, I just want them to know they’re not alone. It’s been 7 years, and it’s about time I said it out loud.
