Bollywood's favourite actor-director duo Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are reuniting for what will be a 2020 release. According to Prerna Singh, CEO of Bhansali Productions, Salman and Bhansali are coming together for a love story.

"Yes, Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are reuniting after 19 years for a love story. Their collaboration is the best thing that can happen in terms of storytelling," Singh said in a statement.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh also confirmed the same on social media and revealed that the film will be a love story and that it is expected to go on floors soon and we couldn't be more excited. Here's what Taran Adarsh tweeted: "Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan reunite after 19 years for a love story... The film is set to go on floors soon." 

 

 

Bhansali had previously worked with Salman in the 1999 hit film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, which also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and even in 1996 film Khamoshi: The Musical, which also featured Manisha Koirala and Nana Patekar. Salman also made a cameo in Ranbir Kapoor's Saawariya in 2007.

Meanwhile, Salman is busy with the period drama Bharat, which stars Tabu, Disha Patani and Katrina Kaif. Ali Abbas Zafar is helming it and is all set to release on Eid this year. He has recently produced Nitin Kakkar's Notebook, which marks the Bollywood debut of Pranutan and Zaheer Iqbal.

On the other hand, Bhansali's last directorial project was Padmaavat in 2018, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor which was a blockbuster.
