Mumbai: Former Bigg Boss contestant and actor Arzoo Govitrikar has lodged an FIR at the Worli police station accusing her husband, Siddharth Sabharwal, of domestic violence. 

The couple married in 2010 and have a son. The Naagin actor was accompanied by her sister, actor Aditi Govitrikar while filing the complaint. Television actor Ashish Chowdhry was also present with the sisters to file the complaint. 

According to Mumbai Mirror reports, she had filed a complaint on February 19 in which she stated that she had an argument with her husband on February 15 over his alcohol consumption.

She claimed that Sabharwal dragged her inside the bathroom around 4 am and hit her viciously. Govitrikar also submitted CCTV footage proof to support her allegations. "He threatened to kill my entire family," she said in her complaint and that Sabharwal had taken their five-year-old son in his custody, suggesting that it was akin to kidnapping.

IBT reports confirm that Siddharth has been booked under sections 498A (cruelty), 323 (causing hurt), 504 (insult with intention to provoke breach of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 509 (insulting woman's modesty) of the Indian Penal Code.

The actor has refused to comment on the issue presently.
