Manisha Koirala, alongside friends Gulshan Grover and Vivek Mushran, recently enjoyed a screening of 'Heeramandi,' the latest offering from renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The series, which marks Bhansali's foray into the realm of web series, premiered on Netflix to much anticipation. In 'Heeramandi,' Koirala takes on the role of Mallikajaan, a formidable courtesan known for her strength and resilience.

Gulshan Grover, a prominent figure in Bollywood, took to social media to share his experience of watching the series with Koirala herself. Alongside a picture and a video capturing the moment, Grover praised Koirala's performance, labeling her as 'FABULOUS' and commending her portrayal of a 'BADGIRL.' He extended his wishes for the success of the series, alongside his son Sanjay.

Joining Grover in the screening was Vivek Mushran, known for his role in the classic film 'Saudagar.' The trio, along with their families, came together to support Koirala and celebrate her work in 'Heeramandi.'

'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Sehgal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh, all portraying tawaifs, or courtesans. Additionally, the series features Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman in pivotal roles as Nawabs.

Set against the backdrop of the Indian Independence struggle in the 1940s, 'Heeramandi' delves into the lives of courtesans and their patrons, exploring the cultural nuances of the titular area. Through intricate storytelling, the series offers a glimpse into a time when courtesans held sway as influential figures, shedding light on the societal dynamics of the era.
